A Breakfast with Mr. Claudio Escobar
Information:
Claudio Escobar joined Export Development Canada (EDC) in February 1997 as Regional Director, International Markets, Latin America. Today, he is the Chief Representative and Director responsible for the first EDC international representation office in South America, based in São Paulo.
Throughout his 31 years in the fields of international trade and business development in the Americas, Mr. Escobar has gained in-depth knowledge of the region and its markets, as well as an extensive background in trade policy, business negotiation, marketing and strategic planning.
His initiatives have helped to create new business opportunities and build stronger trade relations between Canadian and Latin American companies. Due to his efforts and pro-active business development approach, Mr. Escobar has been awarded several Values Awards by the private and public sector, including the Diploma and Medal for the Business Entrepreneurial Award in 2002, granted by the Brazilian Academy of Business, Arts, Culture and History, receiving the title of Comendador.
